Story
On 1 February 2024, my husband, Jamie (45) passed away peacefully at willen hospice surrounded by his family and friends. Throughout his 14 month battle with cancer, Jamie was brave, courageous and inspirational.
We would watch the runners from his beautiful room that overlooked Willen Lake and I told him that one day I would run the London Marathon for the hospice and for him.
I am very lucky to be able to keep my promise.
Jamies last wish was for us to make many more memories with our much loved daughters Holly, 8, and Rose, 5.
These memories will continue with supporting Mummy in her training for the London Marathon!
Willen Hospice provided a caring, loving and compassionate place for the girls to visit Daddy, for our friends to spend time with him, and for Jamie to spend his last days surrounded by love.
In Jamie's memory I would like to help many more people to experience such care at Willen Hospice, therefore any donations you wish to make for me to undertake this iconic event, will be much appreciated.
You are much loved Jamie Young.
